The Wangwushan-Daimeishan World Geopark Management Bureau has an internal department responsible for park management. There are a total of 21 cadres and employees, with 6 departments (office, project planning department, resource protection department, scientific research popularization department, geological tourism promotion and marketing department, museum).
The office is responsible for communication, conference affairs, confidential information, security, duty, archives, petitions, official reception, official vehicle management, logistics services, and other related work. Responsible for financial and state-owned asset management work. Undertake tasks such as government transparency, proposal handling, and information construction management.
The Project Planning Department is responsible for providing review suggestions for various national spatial plans within the park related parks. Responsible for providing review suggestions for planning and construction projects, resource development and utilization projects, and tourist attraction enhancement and construction projects within the key regulatory areas of the park. Responsible for guiding the construction of supporting facilities such as industrial development, road traffic, and signage systems in relevant parks.
The Resource Protection Department is responsible for proposing policy recommendations for resource protection, formulating overall plans and standards for resource protection, developing long-term and annual protection plans, establishing and improving resource protection regulations, and investigating, monitoring, evaluating, and supervising the protection of geological and geomorphic resources, natural ecological environment, cultural relics, and scenic spots in relevant parks. Responsible for establishing a unified resource protection database and related application platforms. Responsible for formulating ecological protection compensation system measures and leading the organization and implementation.
The Science Popularization Department is responsible for formulating relevant park science popularization work plans and organizing their implementation. Responsible for preparing scientific research projects, managing the implementation status of relevant projects, and undertaking research information reporting and academic discussions. Responsible for organizing popular science education and promotion, undertaking the management of park museums, construction and maintenance of geological park networks and geological heritage databases.
The Geological Tourism Promotion and Marketing Department is responsible for the promotion and education of laws and regulations related to the protection and development of the Wangwushan Daimeishan World Geopark. Responsible for integrating various promotional resources, organizing and carrying out external publicity and market promotion of Wangwushan Daimeishan World Geopark. Responsible for guiding the operation and brand creation of related park tourism scenic spots. Responsible for cooperation and exchange with UNESCO, domestic and foreign research institutes, and members of the World Geopark.
Museums are responsible for the maintenance and research of park museums, and provide geological data query services to the society; Undertake the display and exhibition of natural resources in the park, as well as the promotion of geoscience.
