Wangwushan-Daimeishan geological museum is built on the spot and close to the mountain. The natural landscape and artificial buildings are integrated and complementary to each other. With the theme of crossing the earth's time and space, the museum organically combines the indoor exhibition hall with the outdoor science popularization square, and fully displays the earth evolution, life evolution, unique and rich geological landscape and rich cultural, ecological and cultural characteristics of the Wangwushan Daimeishan World Geopark by means of exhibition plates, ore and mineral specimen display, scene restoration, solid model sculpture, supplemented by sound, light and electricity systems.
The indoor exhibition hall of the Wangwushan Daimeishan geological museum is divided into the splendid mountains and rivers hall, the vicissitudes hall, the ancient life hall, the earth treasure hall, and the Wang Dai style hall.
The splendid mountains and rivers hall vividly displays the general situation of the park and the geological and geomorphic landscape through the display board and the sand table comprehensive demonstration system integrating sound, light and electricity. The sea and land changing Hall: it mainly uses the demonstration means of landscaping, images and sculpture models to display the sea and land changes and marine paleontology scenes of Wangwu mountain Daimei mountain from 1.4 billion years ago to 500million years ago. Ancient life hall: mainly through the restoration of sculptures and the combination of multimedia, minerals and ore specimens, it shows the land creatures in the park and the major geological events in the same period. Earth treasure hall: display the rich mineral, rock and ornamental stone resources in the park in the form of physical exhibits and multimedia. Wang Dai style hall: in the form of a combination of films, plates and objects, it shows the development process of the construction and management of the park, as well as the rich local cultural heritage and diverse folk characteristics.
The outdoor science popularization square of Wangwushan Daimeishan geological museum is divided into basic knowledge of the earth, the appearance of ancient marine organisms, the display of silicified wood, the appearance of ancient terrestrial organisms, and 100 million year unconformity.
