On November, 4th, the field trip of Seminar on Early-middle Proterozoic Era Tectonic Evolution in North China Rim was held in Xiaogoubei Scenic Area of Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark, which was hosted by Earth sciences division of State Natural Science Funds Commission, Geological Society of China, specialized committee of geodynamics of structural geology, sponsored by College of Resources and Environment of Institutes of Technology of Henan, with the collaboration of Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark, 19 colleges and universities ,and scientific research institutions including Institute of geology and geophysics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and almost 90 experts attended the field trip in Xiaogoubei Scenic Area of Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark.

Zhai Mingguo and Zhang Guowei, academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, accompanied by persons in charge from the College of Resources and Environment of Institutes of Technology of Henan, Land and Resources Bureau of Jiyuan City, administration of Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark, investigated the geoconservation of Dagushi formation, section of Xiaogoubei formation, pillow lava and ropy structure of Xionger group in Xiaogoubei Scenic Area. They of emphatically discussed the Xionger taphrogenic trough of early-middle Proterozoic Era in North China Rim and the related geological events.

Volcanic rocks of Xionger group are the most completed and developed ones in Xiaogoubei Scenic Area of Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark, as the most important tectonic event product of early-middle Proterozoic Era tectonic Xionger rift valley in North China Rim,

This filed trip is of great significance for the experts and scholars to research the aggregation and breakup on Columbia supercontinent, China continental tectonics, orogenic belt matter composition, promote the geological science research of Xiaogoubei Scenic Area in greater scope and the regional tourism economy development.
