UNESCO Global Geopark is mainly funded from extra-budgetary resources, and does not require additional expenditures from UNESCO.
Global Geopark Network voluntarily donated to UNESCO Global Geopark at least $ 1,000 for each Geopark every year, for UNESCO's contribution to UNESCO Global Geopark organization, and to promote and support related capacity-building activities.
