Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark Won First Prize of Advanced Collective in the Work of National Geopark Science Popular

During the 30th anniversary of China Tourism Earth Science and the 15th anniversary of China National Geopark, on May 10, Association for the Research on Tourism Earth Science and Geopark, the branch of Geological Society of China, gave lectures to celebrate 30 years of China Tourism Earth Science and 15 years of China National Geopark, and developed some events to recognize the contributions of tourism earth science, and geopark career.

At the Convention, Mr. Meng Xianlai, vice-chairman of Geological Society of China and some important figures,   made the opening speeches, including Mr. Li Tingdong, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Mr. Peng Decheng, head of a subministry department National Tourism Administration.185 geoparks participated in the declaration and 30 ones awarded the honorable title of advanced collective. Five geoparks won first prize of advanced collective in the work of national geopark science popular including Alxa Desert Geopark,Yanqing Geopark and Wangwushan-Daimeishan Geopark.etc.

After the meeting, Chen Anze,vice-chairman of Association for the Research on Tourism Earth Science and Geopark,  Wang Xin, Professor of department of geology in Taiwan University, Wu Zhenyang, chairman of AGHK,  Zheng Yuan, director of executive office of GGN center, gave reports titled Retrospect and Prospect for the 30 Years of China Tourism Earth Science；The Construction and Management Experience of Geoparks in Taiwan；Developing Situation of Global Geotourism; and Developing Situation of Geoparks in China.
