Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark Administration carried out on-site verification of human activities in the protected areas by satellite remote sensing monitoring
Since 2019, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration has carried out regular remote sensing monitoring of human activities in national nature reserves and national wetland parks, which will be extended to national scenic spots, national geoparks and national forest parks in 2022. On February 15, the Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark Administration conducted on-site verification of the two satellite remote sensing monitoring spots recently distributed to our park by the provincial Forestry Bureau.
The Wangwusan-Daimeishan Global Geopark Administration will make full use of the remote sensing monitoring results to strengthen the protection and management of natural resources within the national Geopark in accordance with the National Forestry and Grassland Administration's "Measures for the Supervision of Protected Natural Areas" and relevant documents and the "Notice of Henan Forestry Administration on the Verification and Rectification of the Problem of Remote Sensing Monitoring of Human Activities in Protected Natural Areas". We will strictly review all types of construction projects and business activities, and crack down on illegal ecological destruction in protected natural areas.
