"Geological Tourism Henan Tour" the first stop! Enter Wangwushan- Daimeishan Global Geopark

From September 21 to 22, the first stop of "Geological Tourism Henan Tour" walked into Wangwushan - Daimeishan Global Geopark.

On the afternoon of September 21, the launch ceremony of "Geological Tourism Henan tour" science popularization activity was held in the Yugong Yishan Group Sculpture Square of Wangwushan geopark, Wangwushan - Daimeishan Global Geopark. At the event, Professor Zhang Zhonghui, Secretary general of Henan Provincial Geological Tourism Development Promotion Association and chief geological science popularization expert of Henan Province, introduced the geological background of the fable story of Yugong Yishan in plain language. Using plasticine and students to do "tectonic geomorphic formation" simulation experiment, so that students more clearly and intuitively understand the "fold" and so on. Then, the students were led to observe the surrounding terrain, geomorphology, rock structure and so on.

The event aims to let more people know about the rich geological tourism resources of Wangwushan-Daimeishan Global Geopark, feel the profound historical and cultural heritage of Wangwushan.Further explore the connection between nature, science and culture.
