Yimengshan UNESCO Global Geopark

Located in Mengyin County and Pingyi County, Yimeng Mountain UNESCO World Geopark covers 14 towns and villages with a total population of about 680000 people, including five parks, namely, Mengshan Park, Diamond Park, Menglianggu Park, Yunmeng Lake Park and daigu Park, covering a total area of 1804 square kilometers. The park is located on the Luxi block to the west of the Yishu Fault Zone. The oldest strata and Archean large-scale intrusive rock series truly record the history of early crustal formation and evolution in northern China. The "money stone" formed by hydrothermal alteration is unique. Here is the earliest primary kimberlite type diamond deposit in China, which has produced 1.8 million carats of diamond. This is the naming place of daigu landform. It is a cluster of typical shapes and spectacular. Here, the peak enters the sky, the cloud mountain and fog sea, the streams and waterfalls, and the natural landscape is fascinating. It is also the birthplace of Chinese civilization and the center of Dongyi culture, integrating Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. The park was officially approved as a UNESCO World Geopark by the UNESCO executive board in April 2019.

In August, 2023, sister parks were established with Wangwushan-Daimeishan UNESCO World Geopark.
