China Fangshan UNESCO World Geopark is located at the junction of southwest Beijing and Hebei Province. It spans two provinces and four districts and counties, including Fangshan District of Beijing, Laishui County, Laiyuan County and Yi County of Hebei Province, including Zhoukoudian Park, Shihuadong Park, Shidu Park, Shangfangshan Yunju Temple Park, Shenglian Mountain Park, Baihua Mountain baicaopan Park, Yesanpo Park and Baishi Mountain Park, with a total area of 1045km ²。

The park has preserved the complete stratigraphic sequence since 3.5 billion years ago, and systematically recorded the geological history changes; There are many typical rock types preserved. Our ancestors - "Beijingers", chose to live here more than 700000 years ago.

The first "geological dictionary" of new China was born here, and many geological terms were named here.

In October, 2014, it concluded sister parks with Wangwushan-Daimeishan UNESCO World Geopark.
