VILLUERCAS IBORES JARA UNESCO Global Geopark

Vijorcas Geopark is a remote mountain area in the southeast of Caceres Province, located in the Extremadura region of Spain. This mountain area is named after its highest peak, viyolcas peak (1601 meters), and its magnificent landscape also includes the shadow of the famous Guadalupe monastery. The morphological characteristics of the park's unique landforms are affected by the structure and structure, with folds and fracture landscapes generated under strong action. The Geopark covers a wide range of geological periods. The oldest rocks in Europe can be found here, including the Sinian, Cambrian, Ordovician and Silurian rocks from 650million to 400million years ago.

In April, 2016, it concluded sister parks with Wangwushan Daimeishan UNESCO World Geopark.
