Wulongkou macaque

The Wulongkou Scenic Area is located 15 kilometers northeast of Jiyuan City, Henan Province, with an area of 128 square kilometers. It is divided into five major scenic areas: Hot Springs, Pangu, Qinhe, Chouergou, and Baijiangou. There are a total of 68 natural and cultural landscapes, and it is a mountainous scenic area mainly featuring natural landscapes, macaques, and hot springs. It is also a national macaque nature reserve. The scenic area currently has over 3800 macaques in 21 groups, and is the northernmost macaque community on Earth's latitude. In August 2002, it was rated as a national AAAA level tourist attraction.
