Wangwushan-Daimeishan World Geopark Helps "2022 Jiyuan Demonstration Zone National Science Popularization Day Activity"
On the morning of September 15th, the launch ceremony of the "2022 Jiyuan Demonstration Zone National Science Popularization Day Activity" was grandly held at the West Square of the Science and Technology Museum. The theme of this activity is "Welcoming the 20th National Congress, Science Popularization Towards the Future".
At the event site, the Wangwushan-Daimeishan World Geopark set up a science popularization propaganda platform, which introduced the geological and cultural knowledge, typical geological landforms, and precious geological relics of the Wangwushan-Daimeishan World Geopark to the general public through the distribution of geological science popularization books, interactive exhibits, and graphic display boards. This allowed the general public to have a more comprehensive re understanding of geological tourism, geological tourism, geological culture, geological relics, and geological landscapes, and guided them to understand the close relationship between residents and surrounding ecological and geological resources, establish the concept of "harmonious coexistence between humans and nature", improve the public's awareness of "cherishing earth resources and protecting natural resources", and make everyone consciously become an ecological civilization. The participants, contributors, and advocates of the construction work together to safeguard the blue water and sky of Jiyuan, Defend our ecological home.
"National Science Popularization Day" is a mass and social science popularization activity launched by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology in September 2003. It has been carried out 18 times so far, and this year's theme is "Welcoming the 20th National Congress, Science Popularization Towards the Future". Next, the Wangwushan-Daimeishan World Geopark will closely focus on this theme and carry out various activities such as science popularization for the benefit of the people, science popularization in communities, and science popularization in campuses, contributing to the high-quality development of science popularization work in our demonstration area.
