Wangwushan-Daimeishan World Geopark Successfully Holds Geological and Forest Resource Protection Training Course

On May 14-15, the Wangwushan Daimeishan World Geopark held a two-day geological relic training course, attended by more than 110 forestry workers and staff from various scenic spots in the park. This training invited renowned geological experts from the province to give lectures. The training methods are divided into indoor lectures and on-site explanations, aiming to combine theory with practice to help trainees better understand and master the importance of geological relics and forest resources.

In the indoor lecture session, experts first provided a detailed explanation of the definition, classification, formation process, and importance of protection of geological relics and forest resources. Subsequently, experts introduced the protection methods and practices of geological relics, including monitoring, maintenance, restoration, and popular science education, to participants through multimedia presentations and case analysis.

Subsequently, the training class organized on-site explanation activities. Geological experts led the trainees to visit important geological relics in the background area of Xiaogou, such as rock layers, volcanic landforms, minerals, etc., and explained in detail the formation principles and geological values of these relics. Through on-site observation, participants have gained a more intuitive and profound understanding of geological relics.

The holding of this training course not only enhances the professional knowledge level of the participants, but also enhances their awareness and sense of responsibility in protecting geological relics and forest resources. Wangwushan Daimeishan World Geopark hopes to further promote protection work and provide the public with richer and higher quality geological science education resources through such activities.
